  5.     Welcome to HSIM!  This file tells how to get going with HSIM quickly.
  6.  
  7.     To get started quickly the steps in this file are outlined below:
  8.  
  9.     1. Follow the quick installation routine below
  10.  
  11.     2. Print the User's Manual as described below
  12.  
  13.     3. This is a Share Ware program. Please read the license and registration
  14.        requirements in the User's Manual sections

  20.     HSIM is provided in a self extracting file of the format EXPORT.EXE
  21.  
  22.     If HSIM was down loaded from a computer bulletin board it may also
  23.     be compressed and placed in a .ZIP .ARC or similar file. Place the
  24.     compressed file in a convenient directory on your hard disk drive
  25.     other than the root directory.  Decompress the down loaded file
  26.     using appropriate procedures for your system.
  27.  
  28.     If you are installing HSIM from a distribution diskette it is
  29.     installed as follows: Place the installation diskette in an
  30.     available drive which will usually be either "A" or "B". Select the
  31.     drive in which the diskette is placed by entering: "A:" and press
  32.     the enter key.  (On some machines the Enter key may also be labeled
  33.     <Return>.)  Then use the install program to build HSIM.
  34.  
  35.     To install HSIM type "INSTALL" followed by a space and the letter of
  36.     the drive on which the program is to be installed. As this will
  37.     usually be "C" drive it will be so assumed for the rest of this
  38.     discussion and the entry should look like this:

  40.                     C:\INSTALL C <Enter>
  41.  
  42.     This command will automatically install the program on drive "C" in
  43.     directory "C:\HSIM".
  44.  
  45.     A shareware and registration screen will then be displayed. Press
  46.     the enter key and you will see the HSIM menus.  Move to the far
  47.     right and select by pressing the enter key MANUAL/REGISTRATION.
  48.     Select registractio.  You will be able to view the registration
  49.     befort you print it.  We have provided a very nifty Registration
  50.     form,  it will generate an envelope your to to send us.

  56.     The User's Manual is included in a file called MANUAL.TXT.  It can
  57.     be printed either using the menu option or the DOS PRINT command.
  58.     Set the directory to the directory in which MANUAL.TXT resides.
  59.     Then enter the command to print the manual as follows:

  61.                      C:\PRINT MANUAL.TXT
  62.  
  63.     For more information on the print command refer to your DOS User's
  64.     Guide and Reference Manual.

  70.     Start HSIM by entering "HSIM" and pressing the enter key:

  72.                       C:\HSIM <Enter>

  74.     This will start the Hardware/Software Information Manager Program.
  75.     If the program has not been registered a shareware and
  76.     registration screen will appear.  Press any key to proceed. A
  77.     title and copyright screen will be displayed.  Just press <Enter>,
  78.     and the Main Menu will be displayed.

  84.     The registration form may be printed from the program.  Please
  85.     print and complete the registration form.  When we receive your
  86.     registration and the applicable fee we will send you a replacement
  87.     program and printer manual.
